Home stay- 50 minutes from Naha International airport, come experience an American / Japanese surfing family environment. Stay in a spacious ocean view home centrally located in Yomitan village with a host of surf and dive spots just behind the house. Close to Onsen. Walk to restaurants, fish market , veggie market, and historic pottery making. We provide a private room with Japanese futon , shared kitchen- refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, rice cooker, pans dishes and silverware. Shared bathroom facilities- shampoo conditioner and body soap provided. out door BBQ, Internet, and car parking. Max 3 people. Y3,500 per person a night- meals not included. Surfing instruction- First time introduction to surfing or intermediate level up instruction for all ages. CPR / first aid safety certified. Lessons are 2 hrs and include board , wet suit and reef boots if necessary . Conditions providing lessons are a 15 second walk to a beautiful, secret beach behind the Happy Surfing Okinawa home stay house. Lesson only: Y10,000 per person. Stand up Paddle boarding instruction- First time introduction. A great way to see the coral and fish from above. Easy and super fun on flat water days. Look around the Isand- Okinawa is full of all kinds of surf spots. Some are well known and some are still yet to be discovered. Sit down with Danny and study the next days wave size , swell direction, wind direction, tides etc. Set out each day searching for the best location on the island. Danny's background : Born in New Hampshire in the N.E. United States. Learned to surf in Florida at the age of 10. Competed as an amateur on the United States Surfing Team at the age of 16. Competed as a professional on the World Qualifying Tour, World Championship Tour and the Japan Pro Surfing Tour. Traveled worldwide extensively as well as all sides of Japan. Has taught surfing instruction in Florida, New Jersey, California , Hawaii and Japan.
